A year ago, Robyn & Brita, took up the baton of leadership of women's ministry & have been prayerfully working towards this time of being able share what is GOING on & what is COMING in women's ministry. Working & praying alongside them has been a leadership team of women who keep them accountable, pray for them & you as well as bring invaluable wisdom & input to many of the plans.

The FUNCTION of women's ministry is to be a complementarian ministry. It is not a separate program in the church but a ministry that comes along side the church to build up the members. Our ministry is under the authority of the elders of Country Bible who acknowledge our status as equal image bearers & our God given uniqueness as equally important for a healthy church life.

The MISSION of women's ministry exists to complement the church through teaching & training women to grow in maturity of Christ (Colossians 1:28), with a view towards strengthening marriages & families, discipling & mentoring the next generation of believers, shining the light of the gospel in the community & the world beyond, & building up the body of Christ.

Our PURPOSE is to glorify God. Our VALUE is a Word-filled, Christ focused ministry. Our VISION is for women of CBC to be determinedly growing in spiritual maturity who are steadfastly advancing the light of the gospel of Christ. The SYMBOL of out ministry is the Magnolia flower. In the study "True Woman 101", the authors stated that the "image [of the flower] melds beauty with perseverance, softness with backbone, delicacy with durability, sweetness with stamina, & gentleness with gumption." Seeing the Magnolia on our ministry things is to remind us to be women whose hearts are responsive to God & courageously determined to live our lives for his glory.

Our desire is to facilitate an atmosphere where we as women can come alongside one another & are actively using our gifts to build up the body of Christ. There are many ways to get involved in women's ministry.
