Women's Retreat Recap
On October 19, 60 women filled a room at The Venue in Lincoln to be encouraged and challenged in finding ways to use their home and time for the gospel.
As we planned this event, we knew that there were many misconceptions on what hospitality means. It’s not just planned social events or hosting long-term house guests. It’s a daily way of life, using our homes and resources to love and serve others. Ultimately, it is a fundamental part of the Christian’s life. We exhorted each woman attending to find a way to increase their ministry of hospitality.
It was a treat to have Maralee Bradley and Addison Powell come and share their hearts for loving others, specifically children, sojourner sand strangers. We also had an opportunity for questions, delicious food, and plenty of time for fellowship.
And the excitement from the day should continue to live on as we each seek to find ways to love our neighbors. Hearing from you on how you have reached out and shown hospitality would be so beneficial to us all. Please share those stories with us, or reach out if you need help in this area.
Having been greatly impacted by hospitality in my own life, it was exciting to share this topic with the ladies at Country Bible. If we truly live our a radically ordinary hospitality on a daily basis, the impact will be massive in our communities.
