The second half of Mark chapter 7 underlines our need to hear and understand the Word of God, especially at relates to Jesus and ourselves. But left to ourselves we our superficial hearing yields not lasting understanding. We need help. Our "hearing" and our hearts need healing. The only access that grace is announced in the Gospel Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God. Hear and understand.

Each of these three paragraphs has enought for a seperate message each. But when we take them together, the message of Mark in this section becomes clear.
